Approach

Analyzing Search Console Data

  • After planning the SEO efforts meticulously, we had a hard time figuring out the problem as long-tail keywords were not working out.
  • Also, the search landscape was already filled with all the targeted keywords we had planned for
  • We waited for the search console to populate some search terms using which users were landing on the website
  • One of the common patterns was that many of the new search terms were around the acronyms and internet slang

Leveraging Acronyms and slangs

  • We analyzed the acronyms and slangs using Google trends and Google books n-grams graphs to look at the search pattern
  • Surely, these acronyms and slangs sounded promising
  • So, we started making pages related to our industry around the acronyms and slangs to target users
  • As you can see in the graph, almost after 6 months, we started noticing a boost in organic impressions and traffic as search engines have recognized and started to prefer our website
